The Management Team is committed to the development and implementation of an integrated management system.  IMDS’ management and competent personnel shall aim to implement thisIMS Policy:

(a)        Compliance with legal and other requirements for quality customer satisfaction (AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 QMS), work health and safety (WHS) (AS/NZS 4801:2001 OHSMS; OHSAS 18001-2007), environmental (AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 EMS), and CRHSTP core business (AQTF 2010, AQF 2011, SNVR 2011) which reflect the principles of social responsibilities (ISO DIS 26000 Social Responsibility).

(b)        conducting business focused on continual improvement to establish measurable objectives and targets to –

(i)    exceed customer needs and expectations for a viable business future;

(ii)   prevent potential accidents, injury and illness to key parties (customers, management, personnel, interested parties and third parties); prevent unacceptable impacts to the community demonstrated through -

a)    WHS accountability seen as an obligation for management and the responsibility rests with each individual;

b)    business activities no matter the importance or urgency shall not take priority over health and safety; and

c)    all injuries and accidents are preventable.

(iii)   Elimination of risks to the environment to prevent pollution and deterioration, mitigate and adapt to climate change, protect the environment, and restore natural habitats.

(iv)   Socially responsible practices for research, human services, and publishing.

(v)   Cooperation by the Managing Director with its registering body through:

a)     the design, development and implementation of a systematic continuous improvement strategy to manage its operations, conduct management reviews using relevant data for preventative and/or corrective actions for nonconformances, consideration of good ideas, and improvement of its products and customer/client/student services;

b)     compliance evaluation and responsible management of its operations;

c)     the provision of information to satisfy the ‘fit and proper person test’, about significant changes to its operations in Australia and ownership, and consultation between management and personnel for responsive product and service provision;

d)     the provision of its business plan with its intended objectives;

e)     the provision of a financial viability statement based on detailed business planning(projections for the first two years of operation by a qualified Accountant to Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards) to aims to ensure responsible management throughout its registration; and

f)      cooperation with external third-party certification bodies, and the conduct of internal audits which produce a self-assessment report of IMDS’s compliance.

This policy commitment for management, personnel (employed staff & sub-contracted suppliers), customers, interested parties (visitors) and third parties (accredited conformity and government assessment body representatives) is essential.
